USI, Lugano
By car
FROM THE SOUTH: Leave the motorway at the Lugano SUD exit and follow the signs for the town centre keeping by the lakeside (Lungolago). Once past the Casinò (on your left) and the Congress Hall (on your right), turn left and drive straight up till you see the University at the top of the street.
FROM THE NORTH: Leave the motorway at the Lugano NORD exit and follow the signs for the town centre down the hill and through the railway underpass. Keeping to the left-hand lane, follow the signs for ‘Università’ till you reach Via Buffi.
By train
From the main railway station (http://www.ffs.ch) in Lugano, use the cableway to reach the town centre. Make your way under porticoes and along shop-lined streets to catch either a no. 3 or a no.5 bus, which will take you very close to the University.
By plane
Lugano Airport, located in Agno (about 6 km from Lugano town centre), offers direct-flight connections to the main Swiss cities and to and some European cities. Also, Milano-Malpensa Airport, about 60 km away, may be easily reached by shuttle bus.
