Call for papers

New submissions deadline: 31st May 2005

All submissions and presentations for SSRE05 can be in Italian, French, German or English.

Paper

The submission of a paper requires the presentation of a significant piece of research work by one or more researchers. The issues dealt with may or may not refer directly to the topic of educational leadership in any of the three foreseen strands. Every speaker may choose whether to submit only an abstract, or an abstract plus a written paper. In the second case, the Scientific Committee will evaluate the possibility to publish the paper in the Congress proceedings.

The abstract must be approximately 200 words in length.

The written paper must be approximately 15 pages in length (35,000 characters).

Paper presentation sessions will last 45 minutes. They should include a 25-minute talk by the presenter(s) and allow at least 20 minutes for discussion. In the case of three or more presenters a timeslot of 90 minutes may be arranged. 50 minutes should then be devoted to the presentation and 40 to the discussion. Paper presenters are responsible for chairing their own sessions.

Duration 45'

Simposium

Speakers at a panel will present their views on a common theme, issue, or question, and then discuss them with the audience. The contents of symposiums may refer to the conference main topics as well as to others, not directly regarding educational leadership. A symposium must include at least three speakers, presenting the same topic as seen from a variety of perspectives. In an effort to present differing viewpoints, it is a requirement that speakers should not all represent the same institution, research project, or association. Symposiums will last 90 minutes. In order to allow time to involve the audience, the speakers should take no more than 50 minutes to make their case. Symposium presenters are responsible for chairing their own sessions.

Symposiums will be confirmed only after at least three speakers are regularly registered for the conference and an abstract has been submitted.

A workshop may be presented by one or more researchers. Every session will last 45 minutes, which should be dedicated mainly to activities involving the audience.
